Arà is a small, all-Sicilian, ever-present word that says everything without saying anything. It is almost an intercalary, of those used to stall, or to greet a group of friends or even to express polite, almost cheerful dissent. Of this cheerful, carefree Sicilianity we at Arà want to make you a part of it in our farmhouse.

In an ancient farmhouse, completely restored using traditional Sicilian materials and enhancing the natural beauty of the stone structure, you can enjoy the most authentic Modican countryside and push your gaze as far as the wonderful Mediterranean Sea; you can relax reading a book in the cozy garden of the farm, in the shade of almond and carob trees and enveloped by the scent of orange blossoms, and have fun with friends in our bocce court, or indoors, among the leisure activities made available to you in the relaxation room.
Enchanting walks along the paths of the surrounding countryside will cheer you in body and mind, and for the little ones, fun will be assured among the rides, garden and animals, for a nature vacation.
By coming to visit us, you will immerse yourself in a renewed but genuine Sicilianity, which is the spirit that permeates our rooms and which, even more, you will experience in the relaxation room where you can admire a sought-after collection of heirlooms typical of the life of the Modicans in the countryside, of texts that trace our history, and of colors that taste of Sicily

Arà was entirely conceived, designed and built to be one with the beautiful nature that surrounds us. Not only was the structure restored while maintaining the typical style of the farms that still characterize the Modican countryside, but it was also chosen to operate in full respect for the environment. In fact, Arà makes use of the precious energy given by the Sicilian sun, through the photovoltaic and solar thermal systems installed on the structure. In addition to this, both the electrical and plumbing systems have been built using technologies that allow waste to be minimized. Respect for the environment, moreover, is ensured by the use of compost bins for the disposal of organic waste and attention to the separate collection of inorganic waste, with the intention of recycling as much as we can.
